About the Role
Business Account Manager
An opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting Nottingham City businesses by proactively working to ensure that they are accessing all available support in overcoming barriers to growth and in reaching their full growth potential.
This role involves delivering Nottingham City Council's Business Support & Business Account Management Service and Investment Readiness Programme.
Responsible for engaging new businesses and managing a portfolio of current organisations, the primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to; understanding and assessing business needs, creating action plans and providing business support and advice to support business growth, sustainability and planning.
Event management and speaking will be required, travel across the city to various NCC sites, partner venues and business premises is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying businesses to access the investment readiness programme, manage this journey for individual cohorts of businesses and support businesses with funding applications.
Ensuring the business support service is accessible and representative of the vast diversity within Nottingham City is a key priority of the business support service, dedication to employing inclusive procedures and best practice is essential to this role.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· Experience of delivering business support, advice, IBD and account management
· Current and working knowledge of the business support landscape and experience in navigating this to broker businesses into internal and external support
· Experience of working with businesses to access finance and understand the various finance options
· Experience of working within a diverse environment, successfully engaging businesses and delivering growth within a business(s)
Full, Clean Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to the nature of travel required and transporting materials.
- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.

Skills Required
- Experience delivering business support, advice, IBD, and account management
