18-week internship
As a business account manager intern, you help serve, prospect for, solicit, develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients. You help sell business products and services through multiple distribution channels based on member/client needs and in accordance with strategies and practices. You develop and maintain business relationships with a client base made up mainly of members and clients, businesses, associations and groups to ensure they are getting the most out of their products and services and are fully satisfied with them. You drive results by actively helping your unit meet its sales and business development objectives. You are responsible for accounts with average development potential for your sector. You work with clients with specific needs. The ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly understand clients’ expressed needs is therefore essential. You advise and assist members and clients. You represent Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with clients. You have opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms in accordance with standards and procedures. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to :
Solicit and develop and maintain personalized business relationships with clients to promote products and services.
Identify and analyze members’ and clients’ needs to refer them to the right channel.
Monitor the industry to identify business development opportunities.
Play an active role in public relations activities.
What you bring to the table
You’re enrolled in a program of study leading to a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
Knowledge of French is required
