The experienced Bull Escala HVX/AIX Consultant will work with Bull Escala AIX system software in a dual operating system environment to provide Bull proprietary software application support with implementation, testing, and on-going administration.Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Bull Escala - HVX/AIX Consultan to join our IT team. This position will be part-time, remote, and is a contract position.
The position can be remote but candidates must be able to come on site if Servers need replacing or major issues arise.
What You'll Do
Required
Support Bull proprietary software applications with implementation, testing, and ongoing administration in a dual operating system environment
Effectively report to internal and external stakeholders
Perform maintenance and ongoing administration of the system to ensure optimal functionality
Keep all project documentation current in SharePoint for state resource transition
Adhere to MVC architecture standards and facilitate the planning process to reduce risks with the overall implementation schedule
Collaborate on transitioning to a new architecture and foundation for multiple prioritized projects
Meet citizen’s expectations for agency services and expand online services
What You'll Need
Required
The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience working with Bull Escala - HVX/AIX systems
A minimum of 10 years of systems administration experience is required
Proficiency in SharePoint, with at least 5 years of experience, is necessary
The candidate should have 10 years of experience in providing effective reporting to internal and external stakeholders
Maintenance and ongoing administration of systems must have been practiced for at least 10 years
Hands-on experience with servers for a minimum of 10 years is essential
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $80 - $90 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
