About Your Business Area/Department :
The Financial Service Center in Bogota oversees all legal entities in the Americas, offering a complete range of financial services across the region. And leading the Source to Pay and Accounts Payable operation and processes across the region.
In this role you need to ensure efficient working as one team with other Finance partners to maximize Amadeus procurement processes and cash while ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
Summary of the role:
Lead and monitor the Source to Pay team in the activities of Accounts Payable [Vendor enablement / Invoice Processing / Payment Execution] for the procurement processes for all the legal entities in the Americas. Prepare and schedule payment proposals in alignment with the corporate payment calendar. Ensure end to end excellence.
Guarantee Transactions and system entries related to vendors are in full compliance of the Source to Pay Policy and accounting principles. Perform control on data entry and posting by the team, and other accounting transactional information into the system.
Manage monthly closing, audit and reporting activities to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining solid financials.
Foster the improvement of process KPIs and ensure SLA compliance.
Define the team strategy and workload distribution of the department and manage priorities withing the area of responsibility to achieve the goals.
Manage team escalations with the internal and external stakeholders to resolve accounts payable issues. Provide effective communication, queries resolution and support.
Identify obstacles and team needs to achieve the area’s objectives.
Increase efficiency and team collaboration with other finance stakeholders including Order to Cash, Record to Report, Treasury, Controlling, Tax and Corporate departments.
Drive permanent improvement to evolve Source to Pay via raising requirements to internal solution teams
Leadership and coordination in projects related to process improvements within the Accounts Payable area to maximize procurement impact.
Talent Development and Retention, while maintaining a positive work environment.
Ensure processes are duly documented and followed.
In this role you’ll:
Work together with other finance areas and internal customers to ensure positive Key Performance Indicators in line with agreed Service Level Agreements for operational Accounts Payable processes.
Lead a Team that handles regional and local processes.
Be a business partner for internal departments and vendors, providing support and advice in relation to Accounts Payable.
Drive, collaborate and give input on the evolution of Source to Pay processes.
Work on local and international projects.
About the ideal candidate:
3-5 years’ experience in a team leadership role
Hands on manager and leads by example. Participates and handles some of the daily activities of the department.
Ready to go an extra mile to obtain extraordinary results
Process optimization expertise and proven results in prior positions
English bilingual (C2), [additional language is an asset]
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Identify new requirements, identify problems, analyze, prioritize and solve them.
Proactiveness, drive and initiative.
Excellent communication, conflict management and team development skills.
Expert level in SAP S4 Hana and Excel
Coupa Knowledge.
Knowledge of finance and accounting processes.
Knowledge of company and travel industry is an advantage.
Experience in multinational companies and / or Shared Service Centers is desirable.
Bachelor´s degree in Business/Economics/Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
