cBEYONData is seeking a Budget Analyst to support our Federal client's PPBE Reform. The Analyst will join a cross-functional team that supports PPBE Reform Commission Report implementation. Responsibilities include data gathering and consolidation, cross-organization coordination, and strategic communications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a budget line-item review to understand their purpose, function, and allocation.
- Analyze historical budget data and exhibits to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern for budget structure and justification.
- Develop a methodology for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of budget justification material.
- Provide recommendations for improving the quality and accuracy of budget justifications.
- Collaborate with budget stakeholders, including Component budget officers and program managers, to ensure the budget and associated justification are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for developing and reviewing budget justifications to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Prepare status reports for senior management and stakeholders based on the analysis of budget justification material.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Willing to work onsite at the Pentagon daily
- Must possess a Secret clearance
- Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with pivot tables and other advanced features of Excel
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to quickly deliver quality written products in constrained time periods
- Must have outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across DoD
- Must have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers on various ad hoc requests
Preferred Requirement:
- Extensive experience in translating stakeholder requirements into executable solutions
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects
- Federal budget or DoD budget experience
- Certified Defense Financial Manager
