JCITA (Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy) is a premier institution that offers advanced counterintelligence (CI) training encompassing investigations, operations, collections, analysis, and functional services. Core one is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Budget Analyst/Specialist to join our esteemed team.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the vital work of JCITA. As a Budget Analyst/Specialist your expertise will be instrumental in supporting our mission by contributing to budget development and financial management. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth execution of the JCITA program, especially concerning travel authorization preparation and funding.
Responsibilities
- Budget Development and Financial Planning: Collaborate with the Government to develop budget-based forecasts, plans, and schedules that align with JCITA's mission requirements
- Travel Authorization Briefing: Provide comprehensive briefings to JCITA students on travel authorization specifications, funding processes, and reimbursement procedures
- DTS Data Management: Input student travel authorization and voucher data into the Defense Travel System (DTS), ensuring compliance with the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) and JCITA course funding regulations
- Voucher Tracking and Student Support: Track all vouchers, both submitted and outstanding, and respond professionally and promptly to student inquiries and concerns regarding voucher processing status
- Liaison and Interface: Act as a liaison between government budget analysts and student travelers during the travel order funding and reimbursement process. Collaborate with the Government to ensure financial requirements for the JCITA program are met and communicated effectively.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial reports and conduct financial analysis, providing valuable insights into the JCITA programs' costs and trends
- Budgetary Support: Assist with additional financial reporting and budgetary analysis as requested by the Government. Your proficiency in MS Excel will be valuable in generating accurate and comprehensive reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in budget analysis and working with the Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Proficiency in using MS Excel, enabling you to handle complex financial data and generate insightful reports.
- TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
