WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
SimCorp provides market leading risk analysis with our Axioma suite of products. These systems work by importing custodian portfolios and positions from multiple data sources. This role will help contribute to the integration of multiple third party partners into our data systems, and grow our product to cover more potential customers. Along with technical and coding skills, the candidate should have a good ability to collaborate with business partners within the organization to understand the rules needed to integrate data, and translate that to implemented code. The candidate will have a direct effect on our deliverables to current and future clients.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Develop, maintain, and enhance ETL process to load custodian data coming in various formats into our client's portfolio management and risk platform using technologies based on Python, Kafka and Docker

Interact with subject matter experts and develop understanding of various financial instruments

Collaborate with QA on design and implementation of manual and automated test processes
-
Seek opportunities to improve quality and efficiency from ideation to deployment

Follow Agile development processes, coding standards, and methodologies
-
Perform a variety of tasks, and adapts to working on application which is unfamiliar

Creative ideas are suggested to solve problems
We expect your skills and experience to include
-
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience developing in Python
-
Experience working with pandas library
-
Experience working with requests or similar library to consume REST APIs
-
Good knowledge and proficiency working in Linux environment
-
Experience working with Kafka or other distributed messaging system
-
Experience working with Docker containers
-
Significant experience in the design and implementation of complex (preferably cloud based) systems

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
Additional Preferred skills

Experience working in Fund Management or Capital Markets Domain

Experience with Azure File Storage or similar cloud based file systems

Good knowledge and proficiency in SQL

Experience with .NET Ecosystem

Experience with Powershell and/or Bash scripting

Experience with TeamCity or similar CI/CD tools

Exposure to SCRUM or other Agile development practices
