Purpose

Lead, manage and develop the performance of the Biosimilar & Specialty BU’s current and future product portfolio, deliver sales and profits within agreed budgets in alignment with annual targets. Lead and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team and build effective and enduring business relationships with key customers/ stakeholders.

Major Accountabilities

  • Accountable for delivering commercial performance of the Biosimilars & Specialty business unit, including but not limited to sales, market share and profitability
  • Define, develop and implement short, medium and long-term plans integrating marketing, sales, commercial excellence, medical strategies in line with corporate strategy to drive growth to deliver P&L and market share targets
  • Monitor market trends, competitor dynamics, sales and product performance, conduct regular reviews against plan and take corrective actions as required
  • Effectively manage product life cycles, successfully launch indication extensions and new products ensuring seamless cross-functional and (as applicable) cross-divisional collaboration
  • Drive biosimilar and specialty product access and uptake in collaboration with Head of Public Affairs, Market Access & Pricing
  • Establish and manage effective strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow Good Practices (GxP), corporate policies, procedures, and local law
  • Undertake confidentiality requirements
  • Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with Sandoz’ standards and local law / requirements
  • Continuously improve and share knowledge
  • Represent the company in an exemplary way

Role specific

  • Support strategic portfolio development activities for the business. Work with cross-functional teams to support commercial assessments, new product development, forecasting, product in-licensing and lifecycle management
  • Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. physicians, key accounts / wholesalers, pharmacies, KOLs, government agencies, industry associations, etc.)
  • Establish Sandoz as a market leader through differentiated value propositions and strategic positioning
  • Optimize portfolio, sales force performance, return on investment, enhance sales force capabilities and continue to develop and implement innovative commercial strategies
  • Partner with Head of Public Affairs, Market Access & Pricing and their team to drive patient access, penetration and uptake of biosimilars in Hungary
  • Co-develop pricing, access, and tender strategies with Head of Public Affairs, Market Access & Pricing
  • Partner with Sandoz colleagues and HULT in continued development of an agile, customer-led, and efficient approach to meet evolving business, customer and patient’s needs
  • Responsible for financial performance of the BSU and BU processes and ways of working
  • Lead the business unit team, managing all people-management related processes (e.g., recruiting, performance management, coaching, etc.) in support of capability, talent pipeline development of reporting colleagues and wider organization
  • Ensure alignment with all Ethics, Risk & Compliance policies
  • Reporting technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Sandoz products as per requirements

  • Penetration of Biosimilars in Hungary
  • Operational Excellence of the BSU
  • Timely and best quality implementation of BU’s commercial plans including new launches.
  • Efficient spending of promotional budgets and control of functional costs of BU in line with the annual TFC targets.
  • Effective team management (high engagement, motivation, commitment of team members as measured by OurVoice survey, talent and capability development, succession planning, team turnover, etc.)

Compensation Structure & Criteria:

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.

  • Job location: Budapest, Hungary

  • Starting monthly pay range: 2 065 850 - 3 836 580 HUF gross

  • Complimentary compensation: 500.000 HUF gross cafeteria per year

  • Variable compensation: Short term incentive

  • Pay frequency: Monthly

  • Expected weekly working hours: 40 hours
