The Role & Responsibilities
We are currently seeking the services of a full-time Broadcast Network Engineer for our Andrews Hub facility located in Eveleigh, NSW. The job is located within 10 minutes walk of Redfern station. Daily you will be working with a small team, with the resources of a large international broadcast company. You will be responsible for maintaining the network ensuring 100% up time for all events.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Ensure network eco-system are acceptably stable and responsive to Hub and field engineering staff
- Maintain network security protocols and SOP.
- Maintain proper documentation of all network systems.
- Provide technical support for NEP broadcast network systems throughout the mobile fleet.
Skills Required
- Technical or Associates degree in the information technology field desired, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Prior experience in the broadcast television industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills.
- Collaborate with managers, engineers, and clients on projects and ideas to ensure the consistency and high availability of the network infrastructure.
- Must be willing and able to travel, as necessary.
- Technical support background.
- Cisco CCNP, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge and experience leveraging multiple network protocols including BGP, EVPN-VXLAN.
- Hands on experience with IPSec VPN setup and management.
- Understanding of Cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of multicast will be a huge plus.
- Knowledge of and Python and Ansible.
- Knowledge and basic experience in Linux distributions.
- Interest in network automation.
