POSITION SUMMARY
Works closely with the Production Manager to provide leadership and manage work teams while monitoring manufacturing and packaging procedures. The Team Lead will be responsible for training Production Associates on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) implemented by management and verifying that the associate meets the requirements before signing off that they’ve completed training. The Team Lead will also be responsible for turning in the training paperwork to HR and keeping the Training Matrix updated. When no training is needed, the Team Lead will be expected to work in the area(s) of the operation that is deemed necessary by the Production Manger to meet production demands.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Work with the Quality Department to monitor and maintain established quality standards within respective work department(s).
• Assist the Production Manager with on-time shipments.
• Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
• Ultimate responsibility for ensuring training of employees as needed.
• Ensure that takt times are met.
• Fill in for employee absenteeism in all areas of production.
• Enforce all safety rules.
• Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job.
• All other duties assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
• Has working knowledge of manufacturing and above average understanding of Kelvion products.
• Exhibits good problem- solving skills
• Able to use computer software
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Exhibits adequate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform each brazing and machine operation in assigned building
• Should have basic math and reading skills along with the ability to use measuring equipment as needed to perform the job.
• Ability to be able to rework/repair faulty units as needed
• Able to read drawings to include material and part specifications, tolerances, notes, symbols, and multiple part views.
• Must have the ability to become company-certified in overhead crane usage.
• Availability to come in early to do turnover with other shift leads
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Proven ability to effectively train people on workflow.
• Experience level would represent above average knowledge of product and processes.
• Completion of Brazing Apprentice Program (1yr) or similar program of equal value
• Certified in both R-Bend and Manifold brazing
• OSHA 10 certification
• Fire safety training

Skills Required
