Position Overview

The **Tzield Brand Lead** is a pivotal strategic and commercial leadership role within Sanofi's aT1D Franchise. This individual will be responsible for defining and executing the brand strategy for Tzield, shaping a nascent market, and establishing Tzield as the standard of care in the disease modification space for type 1 diabetes.

This role demands a rare combination of scientific curiosity, commercial acumen, and the courage to build where no roadmap yet exists. The Tzield Brand Lead will work at the intersection of immunology, endocrinology, patient advocacy, and market access — leading cross-functional teams and inspiring stakeholders to act with urgency on behalf of patients who are at risk but not yet symptomatic.

Key Responsibilities

🎯 Brand Strategy & Planning

- Develop and own the comprehensive brand strategy, annual marketing plan, and long-range commercial vision for Tzield

- Define brand positioning, messaging architecture, and value proposition across all customer segments (HCPs, patients/families, payers, and advocacy communities)

- Translate scientific and clinical data into compelling, compliant commercial narratives

- Lead brand planning cycles and ensure alignment across all functional stakeholders

🌍 Market Shaping & Disease Awareness

- Drive market shaping initiatives to build awareness of T1D staging, autoantibody screening, and the concept of disease modification

- Develop and execute disease education campaigns targeting endocrinologists, pediatricians, primary care physicians, and at-risk patient communities

- Partner with medical affairs to support scientific exchange and evidence generation strategies

- Champion the creation of a new standard of care paradigm in the pre-symptomatic T1D space

👥 Cross-Functional Leadership

- Lead and align a high-performing cross-functional brand team including Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, Patient Advocacy, Regulatory, and Legal/Compliance

- Serve as the commercial lead and single point of accountability for brand performance

- Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, and patient-centricity across all team interactions

💊 Customer Engagement

- Develop differentiated engagement strategies for key customer segments: immunologists, endocrinologists, diabetologists, pediatric specialists, and genetic counselors

- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), academic medical centers, and professional associations

- Design patient and caregiver engagement programs that support screening, education, and treatment initiation

- Collaborate with patient advocacy organizations to amplify disease awareness and support community building

💰 Market Access & P&L Management

- Partner with market access teams to develop payer strategies, value dossiers, and reimbursement frameworks

- Own the brand P&L, manage budget allocation, and ensure optimal return on investment across all marketing activities

- Monitor brand performance metrics, sales trends, and market dynamics; adjust strategies proactively

🚀 Launch Excellence & Optimization

- Lead post-launch brand optimization activities, identifying gaps and opportunities in the commercial model

- Develop and refine HCP and patient journey maps to identify barriers and accelerators to adoption

- Implement robust tracking and measurement frameworks to assess campaign effectiveness and ROI

🔍 Competitive Intelligence & Insights

- Monitor the competitive landscape, pipeline developments, and emerging market dynamics in the T1D disease modification space

- Synthesize market research, customer insights, and real-world data to inform strategic decisions

- Anticipate market shifts and develop contingency strategies

✅ Compliance & Ethics

- Ensure all marketing activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations, Sanofi's internal policies, and applicable local/regional codes of conduct

- Champion ethical promotion and maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity
