Brand & Solutions Marketing Manager, Door & Wall Systems

The Brand and Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for brand marketing & solutions strategy for assigned commercial business unit brands and categories. This position will report directly to the GM of the strategic business unit (SBU), aligning brand promise strategy with business initiatives. A successful commercial marketing manager has a high degree of proficiency in strategy development and will develop a strong team of specialists equipped to tell the story of who we are at Allegion through our brands.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Develops strategic marketing plan for assigned commercial brands supporting AOP and LRP based on thorough analysis of relevant data and market trends.

  • Leverage strong knowledge of market and customer needs to create and implement brand promise strategy for assigned SBU(s).

  • Identifies and coordinates market and customer research.

  • Provide thought leadership within our commercial business and functional teams to inform on connecting market trends to our brands.

  • Develops portfolio solution marketing strategy by target audience.

  • Develops storytelling of portfolio solution.

  • Influences the website design, look and feel and solutions brand promise.

  • Directs PESO execution for SBU new products or campaigns

  • Champions commercialization of new product, solution, or reset.

  • Develops Solution Resource Guide.

  • Author and maintain accuracy of content for assigned portfolio of products across a variety of platforms including collateral, web and sales and channel enablement tools.

  • Partners with sales for planning and execution; leads category sales specialist quarterly meetings.

  • Partners with outside agencies to support marketing and business needs.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field; MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of marketing, brand management or related experience

  • Experience (Proven track record) in areas of strategic planning, marketing, market research, brand positioning or management, brand preference research, promotions/advertising, and execution of campaigns.

  • Proven track record translating market and customer research to business strategy

  • Knowledge of and experience in agency management.

  • Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions (product leaders, sales, channel & vertical marketing, etc.).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage creative output with both strategy (fits with brand expression and objectives) and executional detail (costs, timing, consequences, overruns, capability assessments).

  • Ability to express complex topics in a simple, straightforward manner. 

  • Experience managing budget reviews to manage monthly costs and year-to-date finances.

  • Ability to travel up to 10-15%

  • 5+ years in a leadership role preferred

  • Experience in multi-channel, multi-vertical companies, building products preferred
