The Marketing Department:  

The marketing department serves as a primary growth engine for PracticeTek’s business verticals. We are the fuel that drives customer acquisition, conversion, and retention through increasing brand awareness and promoting PracticeTek’s products and services. We are the face and voice that represents PracticeTek and its brands.

The Career Opportunity:  

As the Brand Motion Designer, you’ll bring to life moments of delight in our marketing collateral through motion. You’ll work on a wide variety of projects across your own book of brands, putting your incredible eye for design and advanced animation techniques to good use. You’ll join a dynamic team of innovative graphic designers and copywriters, as well as product marketing managers, working to bring our brand storytelling to the next level. You will work closely with the Senior Creative Manager and liaise directly with our Marketing teams and external agencies to create the most compelling and creative ad, social, and video content. Most importantly, you’ll be responsible for defining how the world views PracticeTek, evangelizing and educating users about the innovative healthcare technology industry. 

This designer will focus on marketing and brand design while collaborating across the marketing team. This individual will support business goals related to brand building and acquisition. They will also contribute to building the PracticeTek brand and be able to express the brand creatively across a variety of mediums. 

The position can be based in San Diego, CA, or remote. 

Areas of Accountability: 

The Brand Motion Designer is responsible for the following outcomes: 

• Work with the creative team in all stages of developing motion assets, from concept to development and final production  

• Create and revise design of still frames and storyboards 

• Deliver multiple mediums of work, spanning from 2D title and super animation, 2D/3D motion design/animation that may be output for HD Video, social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, YouTube, X, etc) 

• Build and maintain a library of animations for consistent use across multiple touchpoints   

• Participate constructively in inter-department and cross-service line communications 

• Execute design work to ensure final deliverables meet PracticeTek standards 

Competencies for Success  

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar motion design role 

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere etc), Figma as well as emerging generative AI design tools  

• Maintain design integrity with a strong attention to detail in color theory, typography, and layout 

• Previous experience collaborating with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Copywriters to develop stories and create storyboards and design elements 

• Experience concepting unique ideas for video and motion graphic assignments and/or advertising campaigns 

• Excellent time management with strong organizational, communication and conceptual thinking skills 

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, driving the design cycle forward  

• A portfolio of relevant design work is required for consideration
