Job summary
Edelman is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Brand Marketing Manager to join its Global Marketing team. Reporting into our SVP of Global Brand Marketing, this role will help proactively market and promote exciting new growth ventures and areas of innovation for the firm via public relations, strategic partnerships, executive positioning, and creative storytelling.

The global marketing function works across a range of cross-sector programmes, IP, events, partnerships and employee initiatives. All with the aim to create a pipeline of content across channels and formats that brings fame and recognition to Edelman whilst driving growth through lead generation and engagement with clients and prospects.
Brand Marketing plays a key role in our all-up strategy, building reputation and driving growth for the firm. The Brand Marketing Manager will primarily focus on awareness tactics and amplification strategies that drive engagement and conversion with Edelman’s top clients and prospects. Key to their success will be developing strong relationships with trade media, conference organizers, and industry trade organizations, all while considering key targets and areas for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the SVP of Marketing in development and maintenance of overarching brand marketing strategy for Edelman, including liaising with global stakeholders as well as regional leadership to localize strategy as it pertains to in-market goals.
- Provide support on tentpole strategy and implementation for key industry moments includes Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, SXSW, and Advertising Week.
- Lead on key operational workstreams supporting major marketing initiatives and campaigns, including project management, stakeholder management, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain editorial calendars for media, speaking, and external engagements as well as media lists across key growth priorities.
- Support on the development of pitch materials and media lists, conducting media and conference programming outreach on a regular basis.
- Play a key role in vetting inbound media and speaking requests, providing strategic recommendations based on business priorities and objectives
- Support the SVP of Marketing on editing and writing op-ed style content for external publication.
- Track lead generation and analyze performance data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
Key Requirements:
- Strong communication and media skills including pitch writing, reporter research and relationships, database management, media monitoring and tracking.
- Creative thinking to uncover potential story angles, along with innovative marketing and communications tactics.
- Demonstrable project management skills and an innate capacity for organization.
- Work collaboratively across all functions, levels, and teams, liaising internally with appropriate regional and specialty team members across the business to ensure projects reach the finish line.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, using common sense and interpersonal communication skills to manage time and projects efficiently.
- Friendly, approachable manner with a flexible attitude to work, with the ability to build relationships collaboratively across the business.
- Ability to use own initiative whilst working to tight deadlines in a demanding environment
