Role Description:

This marketing leadership role oversees LoopNet’s brand marketing and audience engagement efforts with the objective of increasing our fame, mindshare, positive brand sentiment and brand cohesiveness.  

LoopNet is a highly successful business, with exciting opportunities for growth in the years ahead. Underpinning that growth is our brand, and our relationship with the commercial real estate market that we serve – owners, brokers, tenants and buyers.  

As Brand & Engagement Director, you will take responsibility for developing a brand strategy that aligns with our company goals and reinforces our position in the market. Once agreed with stakeholders, you’ll then take that strategy and bring it to life through the execution of carefully planned campaigns and marketing projects.  

You will be the point-person for brand decisions including tone of voice, messaging and visual direction, vocabulary and market positioning. You’ll work with marketers from across the department to consult on the branding components of any marketing activities, as well as take the lead on critical brand initiatives.  

You’ll also oversee and take responsibility for the continuous improvement of a small team consisting of content marketing, field marketing and communications professionals. The wider marketing department also includes product marketers, analysts, designers and developers.  

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll spend much of your time meeting with and influencing others through persuasive, data-led insights, competitive intelligence, and informed by your experience. You’ll partner with product and performance marketing teams to create cohesive, on-brand experiences which drive engagement, awareness and positive sentiment.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute our brand strategy accounting for target audiences on the supply (listers) and demand (searchers) side.  
  • Lead the development of brand messaging and positioning, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and channels.  
  • Take the lead on the creation of brand and engagement campaigns and projects including: 
  • Brand messaging and advertising 
  • Branded presences including in-product, collateral, social platforms 
  • Thought leadership 
  • In-market events and field marketing 
  • Gifting and corporate hospitality 
  • Coach and guide direct reports in the team to ensure high quality output and performance in line with our objectives. 
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of brand initiatives through focus groups, market surveys, client interviews and analytics. Apply these insights to refine the approach and incrementally improve results.  
  • Consult and approve on brand considerations across all marketing and customer-facing content.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar marketing position where brand and audience engagement were key factors of success.  
  • A track record of measurable improvement in brand measures including awareness, sentiment and recall.  
  • Expertise in B2B channel activation including digital advertising, events and thought leadership content.  
  • Experience of B2B marketing, ideally at an online marketplace, advertising services provider, or technology company.  
  • Real estate industry knowledge or experience, while not essential, would be a major advantage.  
  • Planning – consider the details of marketing plans and how they will become practical reality. 
  • Written communication – accurate, compelling copywriting and the ability to distill nuanced value proposition messaging into simple, impactful, memorable brand messages.  
  • Organization – well organized, diligent and structured in way of working and communicating with others. 
  • Team play – happiest when collaborating and working in a team assembled from a range of stakeholders and contributors. 
  • Goal-oriented – focused on the end result and dedicated to reaching it through a series of well-thought-out steps.   
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment. 
  • High energy and inspiring with a good sense of humor and the ability to bring out the best in those around you through a positive shared sense of purpose.
