• Pernod Ricard Japan K.K. (PRJ) is a company founded in 1990 in Tokyo, Japan, as a fully owned subsidiary of Pernod Ricard Asia S.A. It is importing 30+ brands in Japan.
• Competing with large local players, Pernod Ricard Japan is aiming at being the fastest growing international Premium+ spirits and wine player in the market as defined in its 3-Year plan.
• Hence, while reinforcing investments in leading footholds in key categories (super premium whiskies, ultra-premium gin & champagne), the Company is looking at igniting several additional brands within the next 3 years.
• As a lead market for the Group (within top 10), PR Japan is therefore strongly engaged into the implementation of the Transform & Accelerate Corporate Ambition – with significant impact on Marketing operations, in terms of: increased # of brands activated, scaled-up investment, precision in consumer touchpoints allocation, monitoring of the marketing mix efficiency.

JOB PURPOSE
• Contribute to the fast growth of the brands, through strong consumer recruitment and equity building.
• 80% of the job will be dedicated to the growth of the Champagne Brand of the portfolio, G.H. Mumm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Strategy and Planning
• With the support of the Brand Director, develop strong, effective, and creative 12-months rolling brand plans to support sales acceleration and grow brand equities.
• Prepare key brand presentations (including annual plans, quarterly update & reviews) with a consistently high level, offering strategic insights and creative thinking.
• Discuss, update, and align with Brand Companies on Japan strategies and plans.
Activation planning, implementation & evaluation
• With the support of the Brand Director, define the most efficient investment mix across touchpoints to return on sales growth & equity building.
• In more details, develop & implement the following:
✓ Holistic media plan - in collaboration with Media agency
✓ Detailed digital media plan (including Ecommerce) - in collaboration with Digital team, Sales team & Media agency
✓ PR plan and activations including media & sponsorships
✓ Creative Brand events & experiences, working in collaboration with Sales team, Brand ambassadors & Event agencies
✓ Last 3 feet visiblity & activation programs - in collaboration with Sales team, Trade Marketing team & VMD team
✓ Consumer and Trade Mentoring programs – in collaboration with Sales team with the support of Brand ambassadors
• Ensure a strong buy-in of Commercial and Trade Marketing teams to the plans, in order to secure a strong roll out.
• Provide qualitative and quantitative evaluations of BTL & ATL marketing activations both in terms of return on Sales and return on Equity.
• Track Share of Search as well as Brand equity evolution - with the support of the consumer insights teams - to adapt the plans when/ if necessary.
• Monitor and control operating costs and A&P expenditures to ensure alignment with agreed budgets/latest estimate.

PROFILE
Education:
• 4-year university graduate or above
Language:
• Both English & Japanese (business proficiency in written and verbal communication) are required. French is a plus.
Experience:
• Min 3 years’ experience in Marketing with proven success in Brand Building
• Sharp digital and media expertise is required
• Interest in luxury and attention to detail
• Interest in wine & gourmet is a plus
