You will join the French Retail Marketing team at an exciting time, with significant growth ambitions and several high-impact marketing initiatives ahead. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of major activations in France and to shape how McCain connects with consumers across multiple touchpoints.
Working closely with the French Commercial team, European Marketing teams, Category Managers, Digital Media Manager and external agencies, you will lead the development and execution of marketing plans that strengthen our brands, grow the category and deliver sustainable business results.

- Develop and monitor annual marketing plans in line with the overall business and brand strategy.
- Identify and activate priority growth opportunities through integrated 360° marketing plans, working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Own the Retail Potato product portfolio, including quality follow-up, and develop action plans across promotions, pricing, media, packaging and other key marketing levers.
- Analyse market, consumer and category trends using distributor and consumer panel data, translating insights into clear recommendations and actions.
- Develop country-level growth strategies, insights and supporting marketing tactics to accelerate business performance.
- Lead the development of key marketing moments and major 360° activations, ensuring consistency and impact across in-store, media, social media, promotional and experiential channels.
- Partner closely with Sales to translate brand strategy into effective commercial activations and ensure strong execution across consumer and shopper touchpoints.
- Contribute to new product development by acting as a market expert, building business cases and P&Ls, developing go-to-market plans and tracking innovation performance.
- Contribute to the development and execution of brand communication strategies for the French market.
- Take ownership of major upcoming initiatives, which may include high-profile partnerships and events, depending on your experience and level of seniority.
- Manage complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Media, Category, agencies and European/Global teams.
- Represent the French Retail market in relevant European and Global projects, ensuring local priorities and consumer needs are taken into account.
- Lead and coordinate CSR-related topics and action plans within the team.
What you'll need to be successful.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in FMCG marketing, ideally within a branded business and with strong exposure to the Retail environment.
- Experience in a large FMCG organisation would be an advantage, but we are equally open to strong candidates from smaller or mid-sized FMCG businesses who have demonstrated the ability to manage complex, high-impact marketing activations.
- Strong understanding of consumer, market and category dynamics, with the ability to turn insights into actionable recommendations.
- Proven experience in marketing activation, with the ability to develop and execute 360° campaigns across multiple touchpoints, including in-store, paid media, social media, promotional and experiential activations.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with a clear business and numbers-oriented mindset and the ability to connect brand performance with sales results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Very strong command of English and French, both written and spoken.
- Experience working effectively in a matrix organisation, with the ability to navigate multiple levels of hierarchy, European and Global stakeholders, and complex decision-making processes.
- Strong situational awareness and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your communication and influencing style to different stakeholders and contexts.
- A pragmatic, positive and dynamic approach, with the confidence to challenge, push your ideas and influence decisions while demonstrating humility and a strong team mindset.
- A creative and innovative mindset, with a genuine interest in identifying new ways to grow brands and categories.
What will make you stand out.
- Experience managing high-visibility marketing activations or major consumer events, such as sports partnerships, large-scale campaigns or national brand activations.
