Job Description:

Mars has an exciting newly created opportunity for a Brand Manager with strong innovation and project management experience to join on a two-year contract or secondment basis. Don’t miss your chance to join this committed, confident, commercial, passionate and proud team!
 

With a passion for big brands and delivering category growth, this role will work collaboratively with other functions (Sales, Supply, R&D, Shopper, Category, Insights and Global teams) and engage key stakeholders to develop and deliver our growth initiatives. A constant drive for results & strength in cross-functional team leadership will be the key for success. Reporting to the Portfolio Marketing Manager, you will work closely with other members of the Cat Marketing Team on key strategic projects from insight led strategy, idea generation, concept development, product and pack design, brand and market positioning, team and stakeholder engagement as well as post evaluations. 
 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor of Business (preferably with a Major in Marketing)
  • Minimum 4 years in marketing/brand or similar experience.
    Experience in CPG / FMCG highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in brand management, innovation, data analysis, brief writing & leading key brand projects is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a portfolio management role or innovation management role would be of benefit.
     

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Brand & Category Planning: Responsible for deployment of annual growth plans in line with the overarching 3 year portfolio strategy utilising consumer, shopper, category and customer insights to achieve our 2025+ ambition with support from Category, Insights and Finance co-pilots.
  • Innovation & NPD Management: Scoping & developing a 3-year transformational pipeline that considers evolving pet parent behaviour, addresses tensions and needs. This should include innovation, renovation and value creation projects.
  • Financial delivery: P&L responsibility for Portfolio, focusing on sales & MAC profit growth.
  • Executional Excellence: Localisation of global toolkits that set bold brand objectives and arm cross functional teams to execute with excellence.
  • Stakeholder Management: Development of end to end innovation plans for the WHISKAS & DINE brand and relevant categories. Lead end to end product management including local launches and go-to-market strategy.
