BRAND MANAGER, GEORG JENSEN JAPAN
OUR ROLE
As part of the continued development of Georg Jensen in Japan, we are hiring a Brand Manager to lead local brand strategy and execution in close alignment with global direction. Based in Tokyo, this role is responsible for planning, executing, and following up on brand, marketing, and go-to-market activities across channels, ensuring strong brand presence, consistency, and commercial performance in the Japanese market.
The Brand Manager will work closely with Japan leadership, cross-functional teams, and global brand stakeholders to translate global brand strategy into locally relevant initiatives while maintaining alignment with brand positioning, values, and guidelines.
This full-time, hybrid role reports to our General Manager, Japan, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Head of Marketing in Denmark.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT GEORG JENSEN
As Brand Manager, you will lead brand planning and execution across marketing, product, media, retail, and digital channels, balancing strategic development with hands-on execution and performance follow-up. You will work closely with Sales, Retail, and global brand teams to ensure strong go-to-market delivery and alignment in a premium retail environment.
Lead the development and execution of annual brand plans and budgets to support brand awareness, equity, and commercial objectives
Translate global brand strategy into locally relevant initiatives while ensuring consistency with brand positioning, values, and guidelines
Plan and manage local marketing calendars, campaigns, and promotional activities, evaluating performance against defined KPIs
Monitor sales and activation performance, working closely with Sales and Retail teams to identify risks and corrective actions
Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to inform local strategy and brand development decisions
Lead local media planning and manage PR and media agencies to deliver effective paid and earned media outcomes
Oversee local execution of global campaigns across retail, digital, and e-commerce channels, including visual merchandising and digital assets
Collaborate closely with Retail Operations, Sales, Digital, Merchandising, Finance, and global brand teams, and report regularly on brand performance and key learnings
WHO YOU ARE
You bring solid experience in brand management within premium or high-end consumer goods and are comfortable operating in a matrix organization with both local and global stakeholders. You have a strong understanding of retail and B2B environments, consumer behavior, and channel dynamics, and have demonstrated the ability to drive brand growth, commercial performance, and brand equity. You work in a structured and organized way, manage multiple priorities effectively, and take ownership of brand performance in a fast-paced retail environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or product management within premium or high-end consumer goods
Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and experiential channels
Strong analytical capability, with experience using market data and consumer insights to inform decisions
Experience working closely with sales organizations and cross-functional teams, including international stakeholders
Solid experience in budget management, financial planning, and ROI evaluation
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Fully fluent in Japanese and English
