Job Description:
The Brand Manager for the DOG Category will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies to drive growth, market share, and profitability for Mars’ dog brands within the Pet Nutrition segment in Mexico. This role will lead cross-functional teams to deliver brand plans, innovation, and activation, ensuring alignment with Mars global standards and local market needs.
What are we looking for?Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Brand and proven Marketing roles, preferably in FMCG, Manager experience is a plus not a must.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful brand strategies.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in Spanish and English.
Brand Strategy & Planning:
Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities. (Critical in the role)
Experience in the usage of Market information such as Nielsen or Household panel, to analyze our position in the market and the opportunities to maximize growth.
Design and implement short-, mid- and long-term action plans.
Develop and implement annual brand plans in line with global and local strategies.
Brand Activation:
Lead the execution of integrated marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital, shopper).
Oversee brand communication, ensuring consistency and compliance with Mars brand guidelines.
Innovation & Portfolio Management:
Drive NPD (New Product Development) and manage the existing portfolio to maximize brand performance.
Collaborate with R&D, supply, and commercial teams to deliver growth target and innovation roadmaps on time and within budget.
Financial Management:
Manage brand budgets, understand, manage and monitor P&L, and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for the DOG Category.
Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with internal teams (Sales, R&D, Supply, Finance) and external partners (agencies, suppliers).
Represent the DOG Category in cross-functional forums and global brand meetings.
Compliance & Responsible Marketing:
Ensure all activities comply with Mars Responsible Marketing policies and local regulations.
