Title: Brand Manager (Art Director)
Duties: The Brand Manager (Art Director) will lead the conception, design, and production of visual materials and creative assets across TV/Online Video, Radio/Online Audio, Digital (Display, Email, Ecommerce), social media, and in-store signage. You will translate marketing and brand strategies into cohesive visual concepts, storyboards, layouts, and design systems as well as develop and oversee creative briefs for advertising initiatives and campaigns by defining visual objectives, design approach, brand look and feel, media format requirements, timelines, and resource needs. This role will ensure that all advertising communications are visually consistent, on-brand, and aligned with AutoZone’s visual identity standards, including typography, color, imagery, and layout. This position will review, direct, edit, and approve visual concepts, graphic design, motion graphics, and other creative assets developed by external agency partners and internal creative teams, providing clear art direction and feedback throughout the creative process. You will work closely with copywriters, designers, photographers, videographers, production vendors, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate creative development, evaluate design executions, and ensure high-quality final production across all media and oversee the creation and rollout of visually compelling campaigns and promotions in English and Spanish, adapting layouts and visual elements as needed for different audiences and channels. This Brand Manager (Art Director) will present creative concepts, design directions, and key visual systems to stakeholders as well as participate in assessing the effectiveness visual executions and support continuous improvement of the brand’s creative standards. This role supervises Graphic Designer(s).
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, Graphic Design or related and 8 years of experience in a large retail environment, including at least 5 years of the following:
Adobe Web Creative Suite design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Editorial design experience and packaging knowledge
Private label product packaging and generating design concepts within branding boundaries
Retail merchandising
