Play your part in our team successBrand Marketing & Activation Team focuses on building the LEGO Brand strengths in the China Market. It is structured into below expertise areas: Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Marketing, Media Activation, and Marketing Planning & Effectiveness.
The role is a strategic leader responsible for driving the overall brand & portfolio strategy, brand positioning, and CG-led brand messaging across all channels and touchpoints. It will be a key contact window with local (i.e. CSM) and global (i.e. Integration Marketing from MCCM, Product Group from PMD).
Core Responsibilities- The key mission of this role is to lead the team to design and deliver the brand marketing strategy: long-term brand planning and short-term campaign execution excellence to achieve the business objective of delegated segment. At the same time to collaborate with PMD & MCCM teams to drive global strategic dialogues with local insights, consumer journeys and engagement tactics.
- Design and build local Brand Plan with long term vision for brand strength growth, own the Brand connection to local consumer experiential journey and deliver business sustainability
- Proactive & strong engagement with Global teams and external counterparts to drive/influence strategic dialogues, build consensus & connect the dots, and deliver strong brand results with global impact
- Brand planning expertise to lead with high level leadership skills involving multiple partners across local/global teams with different agendas and needs, to come together achieving goals
- Lead with a consumer-first mindset to grow the brand and deliver business results
- Translate global priorities to connect to local business opportunities that lead further into local brand strategies and consumer engagement journeys.
- Activate Global toolbox with local consumer insights and market knowledge; enhance brand strengths (awareness & relevance) of delegated segment.
- Design short and long-term growth plans that achieve business goals.
- Develop brand plans with long term brand vision to activate the CG in China through innovative/creative media, digital, social, content driven events, celebrity and influencer endorsements, retail in-store opportunities, and PR, etc.
- Manage the marketing planning process including marketing budget, sales forecasting, active in sales, brand marketing and operation processes in the company.
- Be the face and voice of China MG in global brand development process and champion local marketing insights with influence and presence in Global planning forums
- Leadership presence: Develop the capability of the team and the career path of each team members.
Do you have what it takes?
- 12+ years’ experience in Consumer Marketing and Brand management, with experience in leading MNCs in Content, Sports, FMCG and/or Retail Industry
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing/Business or related major is helpful. Masters / MBA preferred.
- Global mindset and working experiences in multinational business environments; skilled in bringing consumer insights to connect to global brand strategy together to deliver the best results
- Strong Experiences in planning and launching marketing campaigns with excellent project management skills; leadership experiences in Change management
- Strategic Brand Planning with content curation skills; strong consumer culture and youth culture expertise with commercial and business acumen.
- Outstanding leadership skills and people management.
- Professional maturity with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to assess consumer landscape and shifting the status quo to create new space for the Brand to grow
- Flexible, adaptable, growth mindset, critical thinking skills with can-do attitude.
