Nash powers the logistics infrastructure behind some of the most recognizable brands in commerce, including Walmart, Urban Outfitters, and 7-Eleven, along with platforms like Shopify and Toast. As we scale, our brand needs to scale with us. We're hiring our first dedicated Brand Designer to craft, shape, and build the visual identity of the platform that is becoming foundational to modern commerce.
The Role
We are right in the middle of defining and rolling out a new Nash brand. Strategy, visual language, motion system, photography direction, the wordmark, the website, the pitch, the booth, the apparel: all of it is being built right now. This is a rare moment to author a brand from close to zero and watch it become the visual identity of a category.
You'll report directly to our Chief Growth Officer (who spent their career building and leading marketing, growth, and product organizations at companies like Twilio, Plaid, and Salesforce). You'll work alongside our CEO, our CTO, and a small, senior, fast-moving cross-functional group across product, engineering, and growth. The bar for taste, craft, and strategic thinking on this team is high, and the trajectory for someone strong in this seat is significant.
How We Work: A.I.-Native, By Default
Brand design at Nash is A.I.-native. We are looking for a designer who has fundamentally rewired how they work around A.I., not a designer who occasionally uses ChatGPT for copy or the occasional inspo image. A designer who reaches for Claude, Cursor, Figma Make, Midjourney, and Runway as instinctively as they reach for the pen tool. Whose entire workflow is built around using A.I. to get to better outcomes faster.
The reason is straightforward: the speed and surface area of what one designer can ship has changed by an order of magnitude in the last eighteen months. We want someone who feels that in their bones and uses it to compound their craft, not replace it.
Don't get us wrong...we deeply value the soul, the personality, the whimsy...the magic that can only come from a real designer. This is not an A.I. slop-house! But we need to pair the magic of the human touch with the pace and velocity that A.I. tools bring.
In practice, this looks like going from a verbal idea to a working interactive prototype the same afternoon, generating ten directions for a campaign before lunch and using your own taste to pick the one worth refining, prototyping a marketing site section in code with Claude or Cursor and handing a working artifact to engineering instead of a static comp, and treating prompt craft, model choice, and tool-chaining as part of your design practice.
If your reaction to a new A.I. tool is curiosity and a Saturday afternoon experiment, you'll fit here. If you believe that A.I. will never replace ... then you probably won't.
What You'll Do
- Translate, Define and Evolve the new Nash brand strategy into a complete, living visual system: identity applications, motion principles, photography direction, illustration style, typography in use
- Design and build the marketing site in Figma and Webflow; own landing pages, campaign pages, product launch moments, and the visual story we tell at events like NRF, Manifest, and Shoptalk
- Bring the Nash visual language to life through motion: site interactions, product reveals, social, keynote, and trade show
- Own the visual layer of the demand engine: pitch decks, one-pagers, customer-facing PDFs, partner materials, the work that helps close deals
- Prototype quickly using A.I. tools (Claude, Cursor, Figma Make, Runway, Midjourney) to compress the loop from idea to artifact
- Ensure the final touch of any design is always human, authentic, and has soul. While we use A.I. to prototype, we care about that hard to define sparkle that comes from something hand crafted.
- Build installations and real-world experiences that are fascinatingly real - in a world full of A.I. slop, our brand leans into very tangible, real world things.
- Set the bar for craft across the company; teach the rest of the team how to use A.I. tools to get there faster without losing taste
- Partner with engineering to ship expressions of the brand surfaces in product too
- Contribute to the brand system itself: patterns, components, prompts, and rituals that scale how Nash shows up everywhere
Requirements
- 6+ years experience in brand or product design, with shipped work that demonstrates strong craft across identity, web, motion, and campaign
- Has owned a brand or a major brand evolution at a high-growth technology company, and can talk about the decisions and tradeoffs behind it
- Active, daily use of LLMs (we use Claude Code / Claude Cowork and A.I. prototyping tools (e.g. Replit) as a core part of your design workflow
- Fluent in Figma and Webflow; comfortable in After Effects and Illustrator; curious about whatever ships next
- Systems thinker who can hold the whole brand in their head while obsessing over the kerning of a single headline
- Strong opinions, communicated clearly, updated quickly when the evidence changes
- Comfortable working alongside engineers and operators on things that have to actually function in the real world
- Bonus: built a marketing site end to end in Webflow at production scale; shipped motion work that lived on a homepage or a keynote; prior experience designing for B2B platforms, infrastructure, or logistics; released your own side project using A.I. prototyping tools
How to Apply
Send us your portfolio, a short note on the brand work you're proudest of and why, and one example of how A.I. has changed the way you design. If you'd rather skip the cover letter and send a Replit prototype, a Loom, or a Figma file, that is very much encouraged.
More about Nash
Nash is the platform that powers modern logistics.Commerce has inverted. For decades, customers came to where products and services were. Now products and services come to them, on their terms, in real time. That shift has turned every company into a logistics company, even though almost none of them were built to be one. Couriers, fleets, gig workers, parcel carriers, in-store labor, and increasingly autonomous systems all have to be coordinated in real time, against tighter windows and rising expectations, with hard-fought customer trust on the line.
Nash unifies decisioning, execution, and capacity into a single programmable platform. Real-time, AI-native intelligence determines what should happen, operational control executes it, and the platform dynamically orchestrates capacity from any source: a company's own fleets, partners, or the Nash delivery network. Whether a job involves a courier, a gig driver, an internal fleet, a store employee, a technician, or an autonomous vehicle, Nash selects the right resource and manages execution through completion.
We power delivery and logistics for some of the most recognizable brands in commerce, including Walmart, Urban Outfitters, 7-Eleven, and Woolworths, alongside platforms like Shopify and Toast. Over the next decade, logistics will become as foundational to commerce as payments, cloud, and connectivity. Nash is the platform that powers it.
Nash was founded in 2021 by Mahmoud Ghulman (2x Founder, MIT) and Aziz Alghunaim (2x Founder, 2x YC, Ex-Palantir, MIT) and is backed by Y Combinator, a16z, and other top investors. We are headquartered in San Francisco.
