Lume is on a mission to normalize body odor beyond the pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they never have to think twice about odor! Our Whole Body Deodorants can be used for any unwanted odor—from pits, to privates and beyond. It’s doctor-developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and clinically proven to control any external B.O. for 72 hours. In 2023, we launched a men’s line called Mando.  Mando uses the same technology as Lume but has different scent profiles.

We are a 6-year-old fast growing, omni-channel deodorant and personal care brand that’s transforming the way that humans do hygiene. We joined forces with Harry’s, another disruptive brand with great people and infrastructure, to accelerate our growth. We are a team of self-starters that roll up our sleeves and get it done. Our style is collaborative and very fast-paced so an adaptive personality is a must.

About Harry’s

Harry’s Inc. is building a modern CPG company by putting people first and delivering against real unmet consumer needs.
The company’s flagship brand - Harry’s -  was founded by Jeff Raider and Andy Katz-Mayfield in 2013. After successfully launching and scaling Harry’s, Jeff and Andy saw an opportunity to bring their experience building Harry’s to other CPG categories where the consumer has also been historically underserved.
Harry’s Inc. has grown significantly over the last ten years, and is now made up of four brands -  Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando -  and Harry’s Labs, the company’s incubation and M&A engine. The company employs more than 900 people across the U.S., U.K. and Germany, and is the largest CPG company built in the last 20 years.
At Harry’s Inc, our mission is to Create Things People Like More — whether it's a product, an experience, or an internal tool, we believe in making the things around us better for our customers, and our team.
Our mission extends beyond customers and team, to the community broadly. We believe that the best business models make a positive impact. So, we set aside 1% of sales across Harry’s, Flamingo, and Lume to support our social mission, including through donations to our nonprofit partners.
At the end of the day, the key to our success is our amazing people. From chemists, mechanical engineers, CX associates, to creative directors, sourcing managers, and logistics specialists, the Harry’s team is composed of some of the most brilliant, diverse, and humble people you’ll ever meet. Our company is a place of inclusion, innovation, and deeply ingrained values.

About the role

We are seeking a thoughtful and dynamic Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing Lead to build out an essential new marketing function sitting at the intersection of Marketing, Insights/Analytics, R&D, and commercial channel leads. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and adept at solving complex problems through creative solutions. This person should demonstrate a strong bias for action and have a proven track record of driving brand growth through highly effective marketing activations, product marketing, and integrated product launch plans.

As the Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing Lead, you will have an unparalleled opportunity to help take the Lume and Mando brands to the next level. In this role you will be responsible for:

Brand Planning and Activations

  • Partner with senior leadership to define and execute a brand strategy to position Lume and Mando as long-term leaders of the whole body odor control category and beyond.
  • Create clear brand positioning frameworks that aid in marketing messaging testing and product innovation decision-making.
  • Lead brand planning; translate brand positioning, product innovation roadmaps, market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights into a brand plan.
  • Develop and maintain an omni-channel calendar of key brand moments (product launches, deal periods, in-store marketing activity, big marketing activations, etc.) that’s widely shared, and partner with cross-functional teams to bring it to life.
  • Own the strategic thinking, planning, evaluation, and hands-on execution of major marketing activations that help build our brands above and beyond always-on marketing channels (e.g., build a sampling-at-scale program).
  • Proactively analyze business trends, market, and customer insights to identify opportunities for significant brand or product growth and increased market penetration.

Integrated Marketing

  • Partner with R&D and Insights to bring game-changing new products to market and make them successful, focusing on product marketing, claims, and launch planning.
  • Provide brand positioning and brand strategy input into the long-range product innovation roadmap.
  • Develop omni-channel marketing strategies around product launches by collaborating with Creative, Marketing, DTC, Retail, and Amazon teams.
  • Act as an effective cross-functional project manager leading up to key launch moments.
  • Represent marketing in cross-functional meetings to coordinate all launch marketing activities, ensuring cohesive brand strategy and integrated campaign execution.

This should describe you:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of brand management and/or integrated marketing communications experience for consumer products, preferably at a high-growth DTC or omni-channel brand.
  • Proven track record of driving brand growth through creative and highly effective marketing activations beyond just traditional paid and organic marketing channels.

Extensive experience with brand planning, integrated marketing, and making product launches successful by being involved every step of the way from product innovation roadmapping, to commercialization, to post-launch marketing strategy & execution.

  • A natural builder, who is comfortable and confident working with executive and leadership teams to establish the brand strategy and integrated marketing practice; can define cross-functional processes, gain alignment, and rally an organization into action.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment. Will pair an understanding of key drivers of the business with a deep knowledge of the customer to make insightful recommendations; is financially-minded and can size/model the expected business impact of opportunities.
  • Exceptional communicator who can distill complex topics for a variety of audiences; able to communicate effectively on-the-fly, through presentations, and slack/email.
  • Expert project manager with the ability to strategically manage, inspire and motivate cross-functional partners to bring to life a shared vision.
  • Enterprising doer with an ownership mindset and a bias for action who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to figure things out on their own.
  • Humble and zero ego in spite of expertise—easy to work with, great cross-functional collaborator, and someone who is open to and welcomes their POV being challenged.

What We Do

Lume is an outrageously effective aluminum free deodorant you can use anywhere on your body! It’s clinically proven to provide 72 hours of long-lasting odor control on even the most sensitive skin. It’s a whole new category in human hygiene!

Our water-based formula rubs in completely leaving no residue behind on skin or clothing. The fresh, subtle scent from lavender and sage essential oils is not a cover-up and will not compete with your perfume or cologne.

Lume is dermatologist-recommended and is the front-runner among natural deodorants.

Lume was invented by Dr. Shannon Klingman. As a gynecologist and a woman, she realized the importance of empowering women to discretely address odor concerns at home so they can confidently live their best lives knowing with certainty that Lume has got them covered.
