Position Summary
The FP&A Manager LATAM is a senior leadership role responsible for driving financial performance and strategic decision-making across the region. This position serves as a key business partner to commercial, operational, and executive teams, delivering high-impact financial insights, leading planning cycles, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines deep analytical expertise with strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Commercial, Operations, and LATAM leadership, translating financial data into actionable business strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions and support business growth.

Advanced Financial Analysis & Performance Management

  • Deliver sophisticated financial analysis, including profitability by terminal/channel and OPEX by cost center, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards and KPIs that provide clear visibility into business health and support data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Corporate BP&A, aligning with global standards and expectations.

Month-End Close & Forecast Validation

  • Lead the month-end performance review process for the LATAM region, ensuring actuals are aligned with forecast expectations and business drivers.
  • Partner with commercial and operational teams to validate key variances, assess forecast accuracy, and refine future outlooks.
  • Provide insightful commentary on deviations from plan, highlighting root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data used for forecasting and reporting, driving continuous improvement in planning accuracy and responsiveness.

Planning, Forecasting & Risk Management

  • Lead the annual budgeting & forecasting process for the LATAM region, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational realities, proactively identifying and explaining emerging risks and opportunities that could impact EBITDA.
  • Understanding Risk Management practices and associated financial impacts. Work along with the operations team to ensure our derivatives strategy is well supported. Conduct scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business risks and opportunities.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing automation solutions that enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline reporting, forecasting, and budgeting workflows through the use of BI tools, advanced Excel modeling, and system integrations.
  • Champion the adoption of digital tools and data-driven practices to elevate the quality of insights and reduce manual effort across the team.
  • Foster a mindset of innovation and operational excellence within the FP&A team, ensuring processes evolve in line with business complexity and growth.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of FP&A analysts, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work environment aligned with company values.
  • Champion continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in FP&A and team leadership.
  • Basic understanding of US GAAP and IFRS is a must.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience with risk management strategies such as commodities derivatives or currency hedge is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect financial insights to broader business objectives.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills, with experience managing cross-regional teams.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities and attention to detail; ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
  • Hands-on approach with a proactive mindset and ownership mentality.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) required. Exposure to SAP or its reporting tools is a must.
