The Resin Sales Specialist is responsible for driving chromatography resin sales by offering technical consultation, application support, and strategic account development. This includes guiding customers on resin selection, process optimization, and scale-up; managing key customer relationships; maintaining CRM records and forecasts; and collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to support customer needs and inform product strategy. Ensures customer satisfaction through timely support, issue resolution, and value-based engagement across the development-to-commercialization lifecycle.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager Bioprocess Resin and is part of the Bioprocess modality located in Pune/Mumbai and will be working remotely to cover the assigned sales territory. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Drive Design-In and Spec-Win activities for our chromatography resins by identifying new opportunities and closing deals—leveraging deep technical and application knowledge of the resin portfolio to support both short- and long-term sales growth.
- Plan and conduct customer meetings, and proactively identify and monitor their molecule pipelines to secure Design-In wins for our resins portfolio.
- Achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets through precise monthly and quarterly forecasting. Collaborate with Account Managers to prioritize selling time, maximize sales volume, deepen account penetration, and ensure full territory coverage.
- Strategically plan mid- to long-term activities aligned with customer projects. Proactively inform customers about our resin solutions to build a strong sales funnel, in close collaboration with Account Managers, Specialists, and Marketing. Share insights on market trends and competitor activity with Marketing and Product Management.
- Partner with Account Managers and Regional Marketing to organize impactful seminars, user days, product trainings, and new product introductions. Support these events with resin-specific presentations and technical expertise, and ensure timely follow-up on marketing activities and portfolio-generated leads.
Who you are:
- A Master’s degree preferably a Ph.D. holder in Biological Sciences with strong technical expertise in chromatography resins and 6–8 years of hands-on experience in the Downstream Processing division of the biopharmaceutical industry.
- A confident communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, driven by a passion for building and nurturing long-term customer relationships.
- A self-starter with proven project management capabilities, adapt at prioritizing tasks and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A collaborative team player who actively contributes to group success, fosters knowledge sharing, and works seamlessly with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal customer outcomes.
Travel Requirements:
- Willing to travel overnight, within territory or locations for internal meetings and customer connects
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Comfortable leveraging CRM tools and data insights to track customer engagement, manage pipelines, and support strategic decision-making.
- Well-versed in regulatory frameworks (e.g., GMP, cGMP) and documentation practices critical to resin qualification and bioprocess implementation.
