Bottle Depot Processor

GFL Environmental is looking for a Full Time Bottle Depot Processor / Laborer to join our Victoria, BC team! 

A Bottle Depot Processor / Laborer is responsible to safely collect and separate recyclable materials and prepare them for shipping in a safe, efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints
• Sort refundable items according to Encrop Pacific processing policies
• Provide information about a variety of accepted products
• Prepare, package, and load product for shipping
• Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving product return programs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
• Previous experience in customer service, including cash handling
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Forklift Experience
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Class 5 Drivers License.
• Knowledge of the city.
• Knowledge of the industry an asset.

Physical/Mental Demands:
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time.

• Ability to manually lift/move up to 65 pounds regularly
• Ability to manually push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance from another employee

Working Conditions:
• Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, rainy/stormy, extreme hot and cold weather
conditions (depending upon season), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic and caustic
chemicals, fumes and airborne particles
• Work in outdoor environment up to 100% of the time.
