Who You Are:
You are an organized self-starter that manages multiple projects with ease, while maintaining best practices that others can follow. You have a technical accounting background and are looking to broaden your experience and knowledge base by working with a variety of different clients.  You make a point to proactively identify roadblocks and pitch in wherever necessary to ensure deadlines are met and clients are satisfied. You get a strong sense of satisfaction from helping clients organize and understand their business, while ensuring all deliverables are met on time and on budget.

The Position:
We are searching for a bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The Bookkeeper is expected to cover a range of responsibilities for clients including but not limited to bookkeeping, processing A/P, AR, payroll, and entering other transactions. This position has a clear path for growth and can be quick launching pad to more senior level positions. Growth depends on technical knowledge, and ability to learn and understand all tasks and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers all aspects of A/P and A/R, deposits
  • Handles all inquiries from vendors, clients and employees
  • Assist with monthly close process and budgets
  • Works on special projects, as requested
  • Performs month-end journal entries
  • Assist with audit fieldwork as needed
  • Assist with aspects of payroll as needed

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates organizational skills with specific attention to meeting deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn new software products and applications
  • Ability to work independently and use good time management to handle a variety of duties
  • Ability to be attentive to detail
  • Strong communication skills
Essential Requirements:
  • 1 year of accounting experience or accounting coursework preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting at $40,000 ($19.85 per hour). Negotiable based on experience.
