🎯 Role Overview
We are looking for a Bookkeeper to support and optimize invoicing, bookkeeping, financial reporting processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial data, budget management, and cash flow control across multiple client accounts.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise with a strong understanding of financial operations—from reconciliations and reporting to project-based budget management. You will collaborate closely with internal delivery, finance, and client teams to ensure that accounting records are clean, compliant, and aligned with business performance metrics.
🧾 Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, including chart of accounts maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are properly categorized and aligned with supporting documentation.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Support financial assessments, budget management, and cost control across multiple projects or business units.
- Collaborate with project managers to validate efforts and budget burn (timesheets vs. contracts/SOWs).
- Maintain multi-currency accounts and reconcile foreign transactions according to GAAP and internal policy.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, ensuring funds are allocated effectively for operations and upcoming obligations.
- Generate and maintain Google Sheets dashboards to monitor billing status, DSO, and burn vs. budget.
- Provide financial insights to leadership for decision-making related to investments, operating costs, or profitability.
- Continuously propose and implement process improvements in reconciliation, reporting, and automation workflows.
✅ Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 1–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and financial management.
- Proven hands-on experience in QuickBooks Online:
- Bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation
- Financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Multi-currency transaction management
- Chart of accounts configuration and maintenance
- Bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, including:
- Budget management and variance tracking
- Cost control and profitability analysis
- Financial assessments and project-based accounting
- Budget management and variance tracking
- Preferred knowledge of loan, investment fund, insurance, banking, or real estate accounting is a strong plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, conditional formatting).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple accounts and financial cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

- Exposure to Tech/SaaS, Marketing, Consulting, or Legal, Real Estate clients.
- Familiarity with contract models (T&M, Fixed Fee, Retainer) and revenue recognition concepts.
- Experience supporting month-end close and unbilled revenue/WIP reconciliations.
- Background in remote or distributed teams across time zones.
- Knowledge of cash flow optimization and financial process automation.
