JOB DESCRIPTION

America Reports is seeking an experienced Booker to join the team. The ideal candidate is an energetic and proactive self-starter with a positive attitude who will build upon prior relationships with high-profile guests to book strong newsmakers and exclusive interviews on a daily basis. As a booker, you are also prepared to set up shoots, interviews, and town halls in the field.

You will be offered the following shift:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM ET - 4:00 PM ET

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Book guests under the deadline pressure of a daily live show

• Track down difficult-to-find people using social media & other tools

• Work collaboratively with co-workers to determine the best approach to securing high-profile interviews

• Pitch unique stories and guests of interest to our audience

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior television (or similar) experience

• Ability to establish/build relationships with guests and high profile newsmakers

• Ability to maintain those relationships when bookings need to be canceled or rescheduled

• Understanding that the news never stops, and some work may be required outside regular hours

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $75,000.00-86,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $62,500.00-71,600.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
