Sales & Marketing teams at Boeing offer a solid foundation to jumpstart your career in business. As an intern, you will be immersed in dynamic and exciting opportunities that empower you to make impactful decisions and develop your expertise as a Sales & Marketing professional. Kickstart your career by gaining hands-on experience in Sales & Marketing at Boeing. An internship in Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Defense, Space & Security, Global Services or Corporate provides you exposure to our go-to-market functions and enables you to engage in real-world projects that position Boeing as an industry leader in aviation.
Throughout your internship, you will apply your academic knowledge to meaningful projects, honing critical skills and will have the option to build your expertise in one or more the following areas
  • Market Analysis & Forecasting: Develop and refine industry forecasts for passenger, cargo, business, and general aviation traffic, gaining insight into market dynamics and demand drivers.
  • Data Analytics & Visualization: Utilize data analysis tools and visualization techniques to interpret complex datasets and communicate actionable insights.
  • Financial Modeling & Value Assessment: Apply financial acumen to conduct value assessments and Net Present Value (NPV) analyses, supporting strategic sales initiatives.
  • Critical Thinking & Strategic Communication: Strengthen your ability to think critically about market opportunities and effectively communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Gain familiarity with the airline and aviation sectors, understanding key market forces and competitive landscapes.
  • Customer & Market Engagement: Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and customer experience. Learn how to identify target markets, craft compelling messaging, and leverage digital and traditional marketing channels to maximize reach and impact.

At Boeing, key areas of opportunity within Sales & Marketing include:
  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive GTM plans covering channel identification, value propositions, segment targeting, sales tactics, promotional activities, and pricing models.
  • Portfolio Messaging & MARCOM: Create and manage physical and digital content for events, websites, promotions, and customer engagements; collaborate with marketing communications teams to craft strategic messaging that drives market engagement.
  • Event Support & Product Demonstrations: Coordinate logistics and provide support for key events; represent the company by showcasing product features and delivering compelling value stories.
  • Market Intelligence & Lead Generation: Leverage market data, Voice of Customer (VOC) insights, analytical models, and economic trends to identify customer opportunities and support product differentiation.
  • Market Analysis & Competitive Insights: Conduct forecasting, segmentation, win-loss, competitive, and pricing sensitivity analyses to inform product development, pricing strategies, and continuous marketing improvements.
  • Sales Enablement & Marketing Collateral: Develop sales training materials and customer-specific collateral to empower sales teams and support customer engagements; maintain integrated marketing intelligence dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Create value analysis models and set up a platform for future modeling while continuing to support sales with existing models and ad hoc analyses.
  • Support the sales team in developing and executing campaign strategies and customer assistance for internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2027.
  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during the summer 2027.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
  • Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  • Previous business or related internships or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
  • Majoring in one of the following: Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Project Management, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Technical Management, Information Systems, or other related fields
  • The ability to telecommute
  • The ability to relocate and work onsite
