Summary: About the Role
The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Body Imaging Radiologist with a strong interest in oncologic imaging, clinical excellence, education, and multidisciplinary cancer care. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation’s leading cancer centers and practice within a highly collaborative academic environment dedicated to advancing innovation in oncologic imaging and patient-centered care.
The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized team of body imaging specialists supporting multidisciplinary oncology programs across a broad spectrum of malignancies. Physicians in this role work closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and translational researchers to provide comprehensive imaging expertise that directly informs diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing cancer management.

What You’ll Do
• Provide high-quality interpretation of body CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and plain radiographs across main campus and satellite imaging facilities
• Deliver subspecialized oncologic imaging expertise in support of multidisciplinary cancer care
• Collaborate closely with oncology teams to support diagnosis, staging, treatment response assessment, and longitudinal patient management
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborative treatment planning conferences
• Contribute to high-quality, patient-centered imaging services across inpatient and outpatient oncology settings
• Participate in resident teaching and educational initiatives within an academic radiology environment
• Contribute to a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Support academic and departmental initiatives aligned with innovation and excellence in oncologic imaging
• Support the continued growth and expansion of Roswell Park’s imaging services and satellite imaging centers
• Utilize advanced imaging technologies including MRI, dual-energy CT, and 3D imaging platforms
• Participate in quality improvement, operational excellence, and innovation initiatives within the department
• Foster a culture aligned with High Reliability Organization principles emphasizing safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
About the Department
The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center includes 14 dedicated diagnostic body imagers and more than 30 clinical radiology faculty practicing within a highly collaborative oncologic imaging environment. Faculty provide multidisciplinary imaging support for one of only two NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New York State.
The department utilizes advanced imaging technology including multiple MRI and CT platforms, dual-energy CT, and a dedicated 3D imaging laboratory. Continued expansion is underway with additional satellite imaging centers and advanced imaging capabilities planned to support growing regional demand and clinical innovation.

What You’ll Bring
• MD, DO, or equivalent degree with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
• Fellowship training in Body Imaging or another radiology subspecialty with experience in oncologic imaging
• Eligibility for a New York State medical license
• Expertise in body CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and oncologic imaging interpretation

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology or Angio/Interventional Radiology.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, or Angio/Interventional Radiology.
NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
