Job Purpose:
The Assistant Machine Operator is responsible for assisting the BOBST Machine Operator with all activities associated with the safe and efficient operation of machines including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations to meet customer demandJob Responsibilities:
● Assist the Bobst Operator with job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.● Participate in all safety activities to operate the die cutter efficiently while maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
● Assist with setting up Bobst die cutter including feeder settings, delivery components die lock-up and stripper.
● Assist with basic maintenance tasks weekly and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
● Assist with quality inspections of cut materials, flagging and isolating defective products
● Ensure proper housekeeping and cleaning of work areas – keep work area clean and free of tripping hazards during shift and end of shift cleaning of the area.
● Complete necessary paperwork/computer data entry in an accurate and timely manner.
● Ability to switch duties with co-workers, as necessary, to promote learning.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Assist the BOBST Operator with various tasks operating die cutting equipment to produce high-quality print and packaging products.
- Participation in all Safety Activities to safely operate the die cutter efficiently while maintaining quality standards throughout the production process
- Assist with setting up Bobst die cutter, including feeder settings, delivery components die lock-up and stripper
- Assist BOBST Operator with job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Be aware of and comply with organizations safety rules, operating procedures, and help hold co-workers accountable for safety related items.
- Support and maintain machine activities and ensure that required processes are maintained.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- Assist with quality inspections of cut materials, flagging and isolating defective products
- Ability to comprehend all written instructions, safety and training related documents
- Ensures proper housekeeping and cleaning of work areas – keep work area clean and free of tripping hazards during shift and end of shift cleaning of the area.
- Train and assist Machine Helpers and Production Utility with job duties on the machine.
- Complete necessary paperwork / computer data entry in an accurate and timely manner.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the printing, packaging, or corrugated industries
- Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned
Work Experience:
● 1-3 years of related job experience.● Ability to work in a team environment.● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.Education:
