BMS Operations Manager

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Building Management Systems that control and monitor various building functions such as HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. This role would broadly encompass following activities.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
• Govern troubleshooting and resolution of all BMS issues
• Track Priority-1 (Urgent) category alarms and connect with vendor for resolution with vendor support if required
• Ensure real-time monitoring of Hot/Cold Prism Tickets and resolve on priority
• Ensure adherence to incident escalation process and training to ground staff System Optimization and Performance
• Undertake design evaluation of BMS and optimize building performance and energy efficiency through BMS tuning
• Check LL BMS critical parameters and communicate with LL when parameters exceed operating thresholds
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, WPX Team and project stakeholders to make changes to building environment if needed Documentation and Procedures
• Develop and maintain system documentation and operational procedures
• Monitor BMS OEM PPM schedule and ensure diligent execution
• Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly reports comprising uptime/consumption with breakup/temperature trends/alarms and equipment MTBF
Vendor and SLA Management
• Monitor SLAs and inform WTSMs in the event of breach • Governance of BMS OEM/AMC vendor to understand overall health of all input and output signals connected to BMS
• Undertake action to ensure BMS is 100% healthy at all times Multi-System Operations
• Govern status of operations and alarms for other systems like FLS, BHMS and LMS
• Troubleshoot other systems located within BMS rooms of FLS (Panels/Smoke Detectors)
• Conduct periodic checks for drift levels Team Support and Training
• Provide technical support and training to facility management team
Required Qualification and Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in BE/B Tech in Electrical Engineering with 10 + years experience in Facilities Maintenance.
Contract Administration experience of 5 yrs or more required.
Excellent people management skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client staff and demands;
Demonstrated experience with tendering and service improvement initiatives required;
Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements;
Demonstrated experience with client reporting and preparation of reports required.

Candidate Profile Requirements
Technical Expertise
• Strong understanding of BMS design configurations with respect to both hardware and software components
• Experience in Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems integration and operations
Experience Requirements
• Maintenance Operations: Over 7 years of experience providing maintenance service support at sites for BMS maintenance
• Project Management: Over 5 years of experience in project design and commissioning
• Leadership: Proven experience managing a team of approximately 8 BMS Engineers
• Vendor Management: Experience coordinating and managing multiple vendor teams
Core Competencies
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex BMS environments from design through operational phases
• Strong technical foundation in building automation systems and controls
• Leadership skills with direct team management experience
• Multi-vendor coordination and relationship management capabilities
