We are seeking an experienced BMS/EMPS Software Developer to design and build next-generation Building Management and Energy Management & Performance Systems for high-density AI data centers. You will work with leading platforms such as Niagara, Ignition, or comparable automation frameworks to deliver scalable, reliable controls and monitoring solutions.
Location: LATAM 100% Remote. Working hours are based on the US Pacific Time Zone.

Required Qualifications:
- Design, develop, and maintain BMS/EMPS applications on Niagara, Ignition, or equivalent platforms for HVAC, power, cooling, security, and facility systems.
- Integrate BMS/EMPS with DCIM, CMMS, SCADA, digital twins, and real-time monitoring platforms.
- Build custom modules, drivers, APIs, and extensions for seamless equipment integration (chillers, CRACs, PDUs, UPS, generators, etc.).
- Develop energy optimization logic, fault detection & diagnostics (FDD), alerting, and performance visualization dashboards.
- Collaborate with controls engineers, data center operations, and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, etc.) while maintaining security and compliance in mission-critical environments.
- Support deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of systems in live data center operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with BMS platforms such as Niagara (AX/N4), Ignition, or similar automation/SCADA frameworks.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or platform-specific scripting).
- Deep knowledge of building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON, OPC UA, etc.).
- Experience with data center or critical infrastructure BMS/EMPS systems strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with digital twins, IoT/edge computing, real-time data pipelines, and cloud integration is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver in fast-paced, high-availability environments.
