We are seeking a seasoned BMS Automation Engineer with extensive Tridium Niagara or similar platform experience to lead the strategy, implementation, and global standardization of intelligent building systems across a diverse portfolio of high‑visibility properties.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in industrial automation, IoT-enabled systems, and mission-critical facility operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and refrigeration systems. This position requires a strong engineering background and hands-on experience managing mechanical and automation systems across multiple sites.
Responsibilities- Supporting the various regions in the implementation and maintenance of Building Management/Energy Systems/IoT devices and Engineering related to JPMC Global Real Estate
- Function as global program manager and Subject Matter Expert for all types of building automation systems and industrial control systems
- Responsible for developing and implementing and enforcing a consistent framework for designing and constructing these systems, including technology standardization, compliance with JPMC cyber security requirements, consistent functionality and specifications, procurement methods, and continuity of business.
- Interface with building operations teams, Global Information Technology teams, and project management teams globally to provide close support throughout the development and implementation of the framework and individual projects.
- Function as application owner for all existing building automation software, interfacing with vendors and IT teams to manage the platforms, changes, and updates.
- Participate in project teams as Intelligent Building Platform (IBP) lead for development and construction of key projects, support all other implementations as Subject Matter Expert for new standards.
- Maintain vigilance of modern technologies in the marketplace and evaluate as potential enhancements/ efficiency improvements over existing systems.
- Develop On-Net regional or global solutions for new projects to streamline the Intelligent Building design, specification, and procurement process.
- Function as top-level expert support to resolve incidents involving Intelligent Building systems or other building technology issues relating to controls operation, communications, programming, alarming, and recovery.
- Minimum of 10 years related to design, Managing, implementation, programing, and commissioning BMS.
- Preference will be given to those applicants with previous datacenter experience and maintaining a medium to large commercial or industrial facility.
- Strong IT background, Enterprise Servers, Firewalls, and Industrial Ethernet Managed Switches.
- Strong knowledge of Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet IP/MSTP, SNMP, and OPC protocols
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
- Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
- Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees
- Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Requires intermediate analytical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
- Operates with high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Understanding of emergency power systems, UPS, Generators, and Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Meticulous with the ability to multitask.
- Journeyman Engineer with broad proficiency across multiple engineering disciplines including:
- Skilled in plumbing, including soft soldering, Sil‑Phos brazing, pipe threading, system layout, fabrication, and steam/condensate systems.
- Experienced in welding: steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Knowledgeable in low‑ and high‑voltage electrical systems, conduit installation, and system troubleshooting.
- Proficient in refrigeration systems (low, medium, and high temperature), including central and remote setups.
- Strong background in central plant operations, including chillers, pumps, air compressors, and control systems.
- Experienced in boiler plant operations for steam and hot‑water production, as well as pumps and related controls.
- Skilled in maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Working knowledge of major kitchen equipment brands: Stero, Garland, Cleveland, Gore, Hobart, Cutler, and Blodgett.
