As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. PSA Japan is a licensed bonded factory and operates under a one-of-a-kind customs scheme — air freight-based, with trading card grading classified as bonded manufacturing work. Due to this unique structure, outsourcing customs clearance to third-party brokers is not feasible, making in-house customs operations essential.

To strengthen compliance and ensure business continuity in our bonded warehouse operations, we are seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Specialist to join the team.
In this role, in addition to handling bonded factory and customs operations, you will also support smoother international transportation for procurement and project-related activities. We are therefore looking for someone with solid knowledge and experience in international logistics.

Responsibilities
A. Bonded Factory / Customs 

• Manage NACCS bonded filings and application

• Handle in-house customs clearance (Import for Manufacturing, Re-export) 

• Communication with JP Customs and handle customs inspection 

• Maintain bonded ledgers 

• Create customs related documents (Monthly report, Construction Notification)

• Monthly Inventory

• Support internal training on regulations

• Arrange Fedex shipment and Domestic delivery 

• Communication with PSA overseas offices to properly arrange AWB
   

B. International Logistics & Procurement Support 

• Coordinate international logistics with US headquarters and overseas suppliers

• Prepare and manage shipping documentation

• Obtain and compare freight cost estimates

• Arrange customs clearance and domestic delivery

• Support with inventory management

• Research potential suppliers to provide further options cost-efficiency and quality

Requirements

Must Have

• Licensed Customs Specialist (通関士)

• 3+ years of customs clearance experience

• Experience communicating with customs authorities

• Business-level English (TOEIC 750+ or equivalent)

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of international logistics or freight forwarding

• Experience operating a bonded warehouse

• Process improvement experience

• Experience in a global or foreign-affiliated company
