Blowmolding & Filling Product Manager

Within GEA Liquid & Powder Technology Division (LPT) / Business Unit Liquid, Fermentation & Filling Technology (BU LFF) , you will be responsible for the Product Management relevant to the Blowing and Filling technology and product portfolio.
The position is for an individual contributor with a solid report to the Managing Director of GEA Procomac.
The role has a direct impact on the product development strategy of the Company and on the new machines order intake and sales growth. The individual has a key role in the liaisons between RD/Engineering and Sales & Marketing, in understanding the market and the competition arena, in preparing case studies that promote and support the sales of the product portfolio.
Supporting a Yearly Sales Budget in the range of : 45 - 55mEuro

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Liaisons between RD/Engineering and Sales & Marketing, harmonizing the technology push and the market pull dimensions, and facilitating the product strategy decision making.
• Understanding of the market arena, providing market study, and/or voice of the customer interview working together with GEA Marketing Intelligence.
• Understanding of the competition arena benchmarking providing benchmarking information and supporting the team to highlight the unique selling points and value selling proposition.
• Coordinating the Innovation Board meetings where the product development pipeline is reviewed and discussed among the different departments involved. (preparation, facilitation, and minutes of the meeting)
• Effectively driving and participating to the market launch phase of the product working closely with the Marketing function.
• Representing the Company, as Technology and Product Expert, participating to trade shows, associations, and congresses.
• Preparing and maintaining Product and Technology presentations used to support the Sales forces.
• Supporting the Management to prepare case studies and / or business cases for investments.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Educational Background

• University Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology Management / Food Science.  
• Supplementary education in finance, project management and leadership would be an advantage.

Professional Knowledge and Experiences

• Experience within Product Management / Innovation Management (5+ years).
• Experience in the Blowing & Filling technology segment for liquids and foods.

Other Skills & Competencies

• Very good communication skills with external / internal customers.
• Open and capable to work in a matrix organization inside a global international environment.
• Capable to lead by consensus and facilitate factual decision making across different departments.
• Good capability to speak in public.
• Proficient in Italian and English is a must. Additional languages are a plus (especially, but not only: Spanish, French, German)
