About the Opportunity

SRM Materials is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Lead to oversee daily block plant operations. This position leads the production team, supports safe and efficient equipment operation, and ensures we deliver a consistent, high-quality product.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who leads by example, understands production equipment, and takes pride in building a safe, dependable team.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, direct, and support block plant employees during daily production activities.

  • Coordinate work assignments to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer needs.

  • Monitor the operation of block-making equipment, conveyors, mixers, curing systems, and related machinery.

  • Assist with equipment setup, mold changes, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.

  • Inspect finished product and address quality concerns promptly.

  • Enforce company safety policies, PPE requirements, housekeeping standards, and safe work practices.

  • Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production goals, safety expectations, and operational updates.

  • Train and coach team members on equipment operation, quality standards, and safe work procedures.

  • Report production delays, equipment issues, safety concerns, and staffing needs to the Plant Manager.

  • Maintain accurate production, downtime, and quality records.

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and productive plant environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Prior manufacturing, concrete products, block plant, construction, or industrial production experience required.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working around production equipment.

  • Ability to identify and address basic equipment and production issues.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and dependable attendance.

  • Ability to work in an active industrial setting, including lifting, bending, standing, and working in varying temperatures.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, as production needs require.
