BlackRock Athletes Transition Program: Belgrade
BlackRock presents an exclusive dual career development initiative, spanning a six-month paid program, with the possibility of permanent employment afterwards, tailored for professional athletes. This program is designed to empower participants by honing their professional acumen, deepening their comprehension of asset management, and providing a robust foundation for future careers within the financial services industry.

Role:
Finance and Strategy
BlackRock’s Accounts Payable (AP) team, part of the Controllers’ Group within Finance and Strategy, manages global cash disbursement infrastructure. The team ensures compliance with the firm’s Global Cash Disbursement Policy through automated workflows and vendor payment systems. AP analysts process incoming invoices, monitor electronic workflows, and uphold internal controls and audit standards. They collaborate with stakeholders to improve end-to-end processes and support technology enhancements. The role offers exposure to global Finance and non-Finance teams, fostering career development and cross-functional learning.
Eligibility principles and criteria:
Individual who has competed as a player or a coach on a professional level in their respective sport
Individual who has competed as a player or a coach on a national or international level in their respective sport
Applicants for this program should:
Be able to evidence/reference an interest in financial markets
Be able to demonstrate high levels of self-motivation and team orientation
Be a clear and confident communicator
Have a client service orientation
Be fluent in English

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. We remain focused on increasing the impactful moments that arise when we work together in person – aligned with our commitment to performance and innovation.
