We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Blackline COE Team. As a Blackline System Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting our Global Process Owner (GPO) team and contributing to the success of our end-to-end process optimization efforts within the Record to Report (R2R) workstream.
The Blackline System Analyst will oversee the following activities:
Technical & Functional Support
Act as a Blackline Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and support to end users.
Collaborate closely with the IT department to address and resolve any technical issues related to Blackline.
Support Blackline implementations and enhancements across all modules (reconciliation, journals, tasks, matching and Studio360).
Deliver training and ongoing support to users, enabling them to effectively utilize all modules within Blackline.
Project Execution & Delivery
Identify Blackline Studio 360 use cases and support automation opportunities
Support process design and future improvements of enabling technology
Assess business requirements and identify opportunities for simplification and standardization
Support testing, implementation, and hyper-care phases
Ensure timely delivery of tasks and project deliverables
Participate in project meetings, providing input to support decision-making
Support process documentation and stabilization efforts
Strategic & Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with RTR Global Process Owner, IT, PPI, and Automation teams to support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure Blackline SOX IT compliance by diligently performing system controls aligned with Thermo Fisher standards.
Help establish and maintain a strong accounting control environment within GBS Shared Services Operations
Technology Enablement & Continuous Improvement
Analyze and evaluate existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions to optimize the end-to-end process.
Skills Required:
3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with 1-3 years in a Shared Services structure
Proficient spoken and written English skills.
Proficiency with diverse ERPs (SAP, JDE, Oracle) and Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word) necessary.
Solid understanding of end-to-end R2R processes.
Proven experience as a BlackLine Administrator, with strong functional knowledge of key modules including Reconciliations, Journals, Matching and Studio360.
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning new technologies, with a strong innovative mindset and continuous improvement focus.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with different customers at all levels.
Skills Required
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting
