Position Overview

In this role, you will ensure we contribute to global healthcare by bringing impactful scientific discoveries to life. With your strong scientific background and passion for Life Sciences entrepreneurship, you will help drive Biotech innovation and shape ventures that will transform healthcare.

Your Role

• Scout, select, and evaluate early-stage innovations with the potential to become successful Biotech companies.
• Conduct due diligence through scientific deep-dives, market research, and competition analysis.
• Write investment proposals and present them to review panels.
• Build and maintain relationships with academia, experts, and other key stakeholders.
• Attend partnering events and conferences to foster collaboration.
• Improve processes in venture creation to enhance quality, efficiency, and speed.

Your Profile

• You hold an MSc or, preferably, a PhD in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field, with a strong background in translational research.
• You have hands-on experience in lab settings, conducting and analyzing translational scientific experiments.
• Ideally, you have experience evaluating the scientific and commercial potential of preclinical research projects and/or biotech companies.
• Previous experience in venture capital, accelerators/incubators, technology transfer offices, industry, Life Science consulting, or biotech startups is a plus.
• You are passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship in Life Sciences, demonstrated by hands-on experience or participation in related programs or courses.
• You are a professional communicator in English.
• You are based in or near Amsterdam, or are ready to relocate soon.

• You are flexible and skilled at multitasking on complex projects, with strong project management abilities.
• You thrive in fast-changing, unpredictable environments and can make decisions in dynamic situations.
• You are a collaborative team player, but also able to work independently and take ownership of your tasks.
