Job Title: Biospecimen Associate
Location: Tucson, AZ
Overview

The Biospecimen Associate will support daily Biospecimen Acquisition and Management (BAM) operations, including inventory, processing, distribution, storage, and shipment of biological samples, in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily BAM tasks following SOPs, documentation, and safety practices.
  • Manage specimen inventory: labeling, receiving, storing, retrieving, and returning samples.
  • Support internal and global sample requests, ensuring accurate chain of custody.
  • Use LIMS and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with lab maintenance and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree in biological sciences preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, work in cold environments, and stand for long periods.
  • Knowledge of inventory management.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Google Suite.
