What You’ll Achieve:
As a BIOS engineer you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment.
You will:
• Take part in the full software development life cycle including architecture, design, development, test, continuous delivery and support of UEFI BIOS
• Lead next generation BIOS architecture design, ensuring it is modular, portable, resilient, and secure
• Lead BIOS development as an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery
• Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes
Essential Requirements
• 12+ years of relevant experience in the architecture, design and development of BIOS/UEFI/PC Firmware with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
• Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the PC ecosystem with a focus on silicon initialization, memory initialization, storage, security, in-band/out-of-band manageability in BIOS
• Experience with multiple programming languages; operating systems; device drivers; databases; system, network; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities. Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications
• Experience with the security development life cycle, including technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities and risks, and countermeasures
• Fluent in utilization of source code analysis tools such as Fortify, Coverity, Clang, and AI assistant tools for development. Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
