Job Title: Biologist-DNA and Protein Reagent Generation
Organization Overview:
The Reagents Group in the Laboratory of Experimental Medicine (LEM) is a diverse and dedicated team responsible for generation of critical recombinant protein and DNA reagents to enable global Lilly drug discovery efforts of both pre-clinical and clinical programs. The group carries out vector construction, recombinant protein expression, protein purification, and protein refolding. The group is also responsible for generation of labeled antibodies and protein standards for immunogenicity and biomarker assay development and implementation supporting discovery efforts and clinical studies.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join Reagents Group. This role is a part of a multi-disciplinary group of scientists collaborating on the generation of high-quality recombinant protein and DNA reagents, which are critical for global Lilly drug discovery efforts.
- Carry out projects of generating DNA and protein reagents with limited supervision.
- Work with other members of Reagents Group to accomplish reagent generation projects in a team-oriented environment.
- Serve as a technical expertise in own specific areas but have knowledge of other functional areas in the group.
- Provide technological innovation and process improvement.
- Interact and work closely with other scientists to solve issues regarding DNA and protein reagent generation.
Basic Requirements:
- BS with relevant pharmaceutical or academic research experience in the areas of molecular biology, protein expression, and protein purification.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$65,250 - $169,400Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
