Job Description
1. ROLE PURPOSE:
Creating and performing structural engineering 3D-BIM MODELING and Developing as per the design inputs, periodically conducting the Model review and coordination with other disciplines/Design drawings activities to achieve the company goal for client’s deliverables for consultancy services.
Achieving the requirements of Engineering team by reflecting their inputs on the drawings and BIM Model.
Ensuring the implementation of company system and standards especially for CAD/MICROSTATION/BIM.
Performing the coordination with internal technical team with other disciplines Designers whenever applicable.
Producing structural BIM models as per the BEP requirements/drawings.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Creating the structural BIM Modeling/Design drawings after agreeing on the structural concept with Senior/ lead engineer/department head.
- Creating and generating structural BIM modeling /Structural Cad drawings as per BEP and BIM standards shared from company BIM unit as well as per relevant project standards.
- Preparing the structural design drawings, structural shop-drawings and As-built drawings.
- Parameter filling and extract for COBIE.
- Coordinating with Engineers to collect the project requirements and ensure the consistency and full coordination between all design trades by using x-ref tools or BIM links for relevant associated design models.
- Creating parametric Revit Families as per the design inputs drawings.
- Printing the drawings Pdf, Dwf , or any other formats for submittals drawings or for squad check meetings if needed.
- Perform self-eye technical review on structural drawings prior commencing the 1st eye review process as well as prior to starting the QC checking for any submittals whenever requested by department head or lead engineer or Senior Engineer or Engineer.
- Attending technical meetings with client BIM team and especially technical BIM peers whenever requested by department head/lead engineer/senior engineer.
- Extracting material quantities from BIM for quantity submission to the quantity surveyor teams.
- Complying with the check list shared from Engineer side for drawings/BIM model throughout any project for technical items works on the project/task level.
- Participating in internal technical meetings on Task level/Project level.
- Creating the quality assurance department package for approval and filling any check lists required by QC team related to BIM/drawings as part of company standard.
- Generating the BIM interference clash report.
- responsibility to resolve the modeling clashes and to send the clash free model to the project HOD for the review.
- Perform the BIM standardization parameters and norms as per BEP and projects relevant.
- Archiving the markups drawings given by the Engineer at every design stage.
- Providing the highlighted markups drawings to the Engineer as evidence on comments implementations.
- Responsible about drawings folders during all design stages.
- Tracking the BIM records.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering (CIVIL ENGINEERING)
Years of Experience/ Sector:
9 years in the field of BIM and Engineering Design.
Job-Specific Skills:
Software knowledge: Revit, Auto CAD, Navis Works, STAAD.Pro, Lumion, Tekla.
Scan To BIM Software: ReCap to BIM Model.
Generic Skills:
Well versed written and spoken communication in English.
