Primary Responsibilities (what are the main objectives of the role):
- To co-create a BIM implementation plan for a project
- To manage different BIM teams on one or more projects in a vertical.
- To create and review BIM models at project level .
- To review single/multi-disciplinary model coordination
- To provide day to day support for designers and BIM modelers working with the Information models.
- To continually bring in efficiency in BIM modelling, coordination and delivery.
Role Description -– Roles to be performed to fulfill the above responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To set up project specific standards & processes abiding by core standards that BIM Manager has set up.
- Ensure that the model parameters are compliant with the BIM Execution Plan.
- Prepare and coordinate BIM models across stakeholders.
- Review BIM model content & quality on a weekly basis.
- Support designers and BIM modelers with new working methods and automation of repetitive tasks.
- Assign discovered geometric collisions to appropriate persons responsible for a given model.
- View collision reports with relevant project team members, and update collision reports.
- Create project-specific element families or an internal element library.
- Configure models for all disciplines to ensure that the correct coordinate system is used, and models are matched.
- Review and approve information models for sharing & acceptance.
- Extract / Verify 3D Model Quantities from BIM Model before Model Submission.
