Billing Operations Supervisor

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of tasks. Your primary focus will be to ensure that individuals within the team are adequately trained and cross-trained to perform their tasks effectively. You will play a critical role in meeting timetables, recommending changes to timetables and processes, and operationalizing new programs within assigned verticals. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of processes and programs that span multiple verticals, such as professional services, meal tracker, customer setup, and price increases, wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of billing operations staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their continued professional development and high performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members are adequately trained and cross-trained in various tasks. Identify knowledge gaps, create training materials, and conduct training sessions as needed.
  • Monitor and enforce timetables to ensure timely completion of billing tasks and projects. Identify bottlenecks and proactively address issues to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
  • Continuously evaluate timetables and processes to identify areas for improvement. Analyze performance data, gather feedback from team members and stakeholders, and recommend changes to timetables and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to operationalize new programs within assigned verticals. Work closely with stakeholders to understand program requirements, develop implementation plans, and ensure seamless integration into existing billing processes.
  • Take ownership of processes and programs that span multiple verticals, such as professional services, meal tracker, customer setup, and price increases. Coordinate efforts across teams, align priorities, and drive successful execution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to share ideas, contribute to process enhancements, and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to billing operations. Share relevant information with the team and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within billing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of billing processes, systems, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop individuals, fostering a high-performing team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
