Rubin Lublin is seeking a full time Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and an effective communicator with strong customer servicer and computer skills. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing billing activity and ensuring invoices are created in accordance with client requirements and established deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Create, review, and bill attorney fees and costs accurately and within established client billing deadlines
- Review billing charges for accuracy and ensure required supporting documentation and approvals are obtained prior to invoice submission
- Perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with established team procedures and deadlines
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate regularly with the department manager, coordinator, and other departments regarding billing matters
- Monitor for billing rate discrepancies and invoice disputes and escalate issues as appropriate
- Correspond with clients regarding invoice submissions, billing inquiries, and questions related to invoiced charges
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with billing large volume of invoices on a daily basis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Adapt to changing conditions and work in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of real estate foreclosure and bankruptcy process
- Experience in one of the following areas (billing, invoicing, accounts receivable)
- Experience using CaseAware
- Experience using invoicing platforms (ICE, CoreLogic’s iClear, Serengeti, Tempo etc.)
- Experience within a Law Firm that specializes in Default Law in the Non-Judicial Arena of Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Processes
