What You Will Do:

The Billing Specialist reports directly to the Billing Manager and supports the daily

operations of the Billing Department This role is responsible for accurate and timely

customer invoicing, maintenance of customer billing records in accordance with

established contracts, policies, and procedures.

The Billing Specialist role ensures invoices are generated correctly, billing data is

maintained accurately, and customer inquiries are addressed professionally to support

cash flow and revenue operations. As levels progress, responsibilities expand from

transactional billing execution to handling complex billing scenarios, reconciliations,

reporting, and analytical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generates and distributes customer invoices based on contract terms, service
• delivery data, and billing schedules using documented procedures.
• Verifies completeness and accuracy prior to release.
• Updates customer billing profiles, pricing details, tax information, and invoice
• preferences in ERP systems according to governance standards.
• Navigates ERP and billing systems (e.g., NetSuite) and CRM (Salesforce) to enter,
• retrieve, and validate billing information accurately.
• Demonstrates awareness of how invoicing timing and accuracy impact revenue
• recognition and deferred revenue.
• Performs basic checks to confirm invoice completeness, correct pricing, and
• appropriate billing periods.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with customers regarding invoices, billing
• questions, and documentation requests.
• Supports month-end billing close activities by ensuring invoices are issued and
• documentation is complete.
• Follows billing controls, approval workflows, and documentation standards
• consistently.
• Identifies basic billing process issues and suggests improvements.
• Handles customer and financial data with discretion and professionalism.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• High school diploma required
• Experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems
• Coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred
• Working hours will be 2:00PM-10:00PM local time
